Baby Santa

 This weekend we took our first family trip to San Francisco. 

We visited the Academy of Science and Learning, Sofi loved the aquarium and studied the fish.

 and walked through the rain on the wharf

She had all three of her big brothers to watch her.Isaac kept her company during the car ride.

Obama Mama! :)

  I had a great time with the family last night watching the election at the Obama celebration party.  It was so neat to see all the families and friends dancing, singing, crying, and smiling together.  :)  And my lil Sofia went to the polls twice yesterday to vote for Obama.  History that I am honored to be a part of. :) And the family was on TV!!!

maaaaahm

i love laying in bed with baby.  she likes to crawl over me and make silly faces at me.  this weekend i got to spend the whole day with her on saturday just "hanging out."  she rolled over and got me in the face and i said "oww."  a few seconds later i hear "oww." :)  then i said "mama'' and few seconds later i heard "maaaaahm"  she's been saying it ever since.  there's something so pure about a mother and a baby's love.  one look from her and my heart is filled with joy.

she loves the witch her auntie ci ci bought her for halloween.  it's a cute witch and when you press the button she sings, "ghouls just wanna have fun."  at first, sofi was a little apprehensive and would stay close to mommy and daddy whenever we would turn it on.  now she hears the tune and bobs her little bottom up and down to dance to the music. 

she's going to be one in two months!!! :)  gotta start planning her first birthday.  God willing we will be able to move into this house that we are looking at and have her first birthday there!  *crosses fingers*

I was watching the Olympics opening ceremony, (totally addicted to the Olympics).  During the parade of nations, Yao Ming came out holding the flag for China.  With him was a 9 year old boy, who was a victim of the earthquakes in May.  He had a little patch of hair missing.  They said he was stuck underneath the rubble in his school, where 20 of his 30 classmates did not survive.  He was able to pull himself out and went back to save one of his classmates. After he saved one classmate, he went back for another...when they asked him why he kept going back he said "I'm the hall monitor, it's my job."  AHHH it gets me every time! :) Yao said it is a symbol of hope.  The show was awesome! love my heritage!
